Narita Airport to Tokyo: rail, buses and your hotel area

Choose the Tokyo arrival area before buying an airport ticket. A convenient city terminal can save an extra transfer with luggage.

Choose for your trip

Tokyo, Shinagawa, Shibuya and Shinjuku

Narita Express links the airport with major stations. Check your train’s destination, stop pattern and seat reservation rather than assuming every departure serves every station.

Ueno and Nippori

Compare Keisei rail options using the airport’s rail guide. Check the service name, arrival station and any reserved-seat supplement. Keisei-Ueno and JR Ueno are different stations.

Direct bus to your hotel area

Compare the actual drop-off stop with your hotel address. A direct bus may reduce transfers, but road conditions affect arrival and baggage limits vary by operator.

Before you travel

Terminal and station

Terminal 1 and Terminals 2·3 use different rail stations. If using Terminal 3, include the transfer to the railway station; consult the airport’s terminal-access guide.

Do not book against landing time

A flight landing time is not the time you reach the platform. Check ticket changes and refund terms, and leave a late-arrival alternative. Recheck engineering notices and schedules for the actual travel date.
